Meet Attorney Melinda Previtera, Family Law Attorney
Melinda M. Previtera, Attorney at Law represents families from a variety of backgrounds. Her family law experience includes all aspects of divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence law.

Ms. Previtera clients appreciate her passion and commitment to family law. Her experience allows her to address even the most complicated and emotional cases with confidence and poise. Ms. Previtera has been selected as a “Woman of Outstanding Leadership” by The International Women’s Leadership Association. She was honored for her commitment to personal and professional development while supporting other women as they strive to reach their goals.
Ms. Previtera currently serves on the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Family Law Section Committee, Young Lawyer’s Division Section Committee & Women in the Profession Committee. She is a member of the Cipriani Inns of Court.
Experience
After graduating from the David A. Clarke School of Law, Ms. Previtera served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable James P. Savio in the family law division of the Atlantic County Court. While a law Ms. Previtera gained valuable “behind the scenes” experience into how judges make the decisions that affect families. She uses that experience when preparing for court and litigating for her clients.
Ms. Previtera also worked as ab associate in the Law Office of Nicholas Clemente and was named managing attorney of the firm’s UFCW Union Legal Plan. As the legal plan representative, she gained extensive experience litigating family law cases throughout eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.
Education
Ms. Previtera received her Bachelor of Arts in political science from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. She then attended the David A. Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia, where she was named a Dean’s Fellow and worked as a member of the Equal Justice Works Pro Bono Society.
Ms. Previtera obtained her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law. While at Rutgers, she conducted research in child advocacy rights, completed a domestic violence clinic, and earned a certification in mediation.
Ms. Previtera is a member of the bar in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
